Senat 2.0 - Create a Separate More Appealing Senat
The Senat lacks attractiveness for start-ups and a rebranding could discontent existing members. A separate unit is needed
Text
The Senat today offers little benefit to young businesses because of high entry barriers and not immediately visible benefits. The Senat likely has to change drastically in order to become attractive for start-ups. Start-ups need different consultancy than traditional businesses which exist for decades. A change would come with the risk of disgruntlement from existing members who are happy with its current offerings. Therefore, I believe the Senat should create a more agile unit that operates differently and is suited for the needs of a start-up.
The Senat has a general knowledge of how to consult and be beneficial for businesses. Their challenge now is to build a new separate unit where those competencies apply to start-ups. It is important that the new unit operates on its own and isn`t dependent on the Senat's decisions. The new unit needs its resources and would benefit from being physically distant from the existing unit. I recommend it to still be located in Innsbruck but a different building.
