Turing internal knowledge of individual members of Senat into a base for mentoring and coaching.

How could this be made possible? A dedicated program/platform, e.g.: an index for mentor with expertises in different fields (eg.: support in growing phases of a startup, creation of culture, leadership, funding), could be filled with existing members of the Senat. This index is made available for all members and they can search for specific mentors with dedicated knowledge in the area they need support in. Later, new members may apply for a mentoring course and eventually also become part of the networks as mentee and mentor. In that way, members can organise and connect with relevant persons that will help them in solving their challenges, may they be of business matter (e.g.: value proposition development) or personal growth, e.g: leaderships or communication skills.

Why is this relevant for attracting young businesses? Especially for young business owners and entrepreneurs, the ability to connect with peers that may have already overcome challenges or talk to experts in their fields can really make the difference when it comes to growing as a business and achieving successes. This could be facilitated through a mentoring data base and infrastructure, which can bring relevant people together, for the mentee a possibility to learn and for the mentor to pass on their knowledge and gain new contacts for their network.

How can this rejuvenate Senat? Using this index, the Senat can enable linking and strengthening their network and leverage internal knowledge assets. This index would also create an USP for the Senat as they naturally create a new offering which adds to the benefits of being a member of Senat. As mentioned earlier the need for knowledge exchange and the need for mentoring is particularly high for young businesses and entrepreneurs. This index can enable long term mentoring-mentee relationships and foster innovative activity.
